Description
Breeder Carniolan Queens are our well known friends. To become a breeder, a Queen is tested and monitored for at least 2 years. It begins with the Queen’s actual performance on site and testing for good cleaning behavior (PIN test), followed by the clinical testing with zero tollerance on Nosema spores and the the Cubital index test. Aditionally, Breeders are inspected by a team from the Agricultural Institute in charge of the National Breeding programme before each breeding season and controlled by another inspection during the breeding season.
Mother’s side Lineage breeding with emphasis on calmness, racial purity, high yield, good brood pattern, low swarming, good cleaning instinct and adaptability. All our mated Queens are listed in the official record of origin and are delivered with the proof of the Carnica herdbook listing. Use each Queen’s individual QR code found in your shipment to track and register its performance by sticking it on the inside the hive’s cover or within your notes. This way you will be able to ask for a specific line you got from us which you found to have adapted best to your local conditions upon your next order.
Suitable for scientific studies, selection and breeding.
