1. How can I order Queens or other products from you?
It works by placing an inquiry through the order form. Make sure you have provided all the details needed. Otherwise, we may not be in a position to respond to your request. These details include: the product you are interested in, the time frame which works best for you, the desired quantity, your postal code (for delivery quotes and arrangements), your personal details we can use to get back to you with the answers. You will probably hear from us within 24 hours.
- If you have purchased from us in the past and you wish to purchase again, just check the “send me the invoice” box. We will understand you trust our judgement on the first possible date of availability matching your request and we will charge the transport conditions from your previous purchase. The invoice for your order will contain the shipping date and all the other info regarding your order.
How can I pay?
If you agree with our suggestions regarding the shipping date, manner and cost, you receive an invoice for the bank transfer. You can use a regular SEPA transfer from any online bank. The invoice is sent to your email via postar@cebelca.biz. You receive the invoice from “postar” (meaning “the mailman” in Slovenian) with the subject: “Proforma inv. xx xxxx - Čebelarstvo Miha Novak”. Please make sure you settle the invoice before the due date, which can be anything from 1 to 30+ working days from the date of the invoice, depending on your desired shipping date and the actual availability. If we do not receive the transfer by the due date, we understand you have resigned from the purchase. The Queens or other products are not booked for you anymore and are sold to someone else. Also bear in mind some transactions may take 2 business days and more, so do not wait until the last moment if you are serious about the purchase. If we have additional questions for you, we will contact you via info@cebelarna-novak.si, Čebelarna Novak, with the subject: “Your interest in … .” Please disregard any other sources.
How long does it take to get the bees from you?
The delivery date depends on:
- The time frame you need the bees – our customers are served on the “first order first served” basis. If you know when you will be needing your Queens or bee packages, let us know as soon as possible. We keep reservations for a year ahead.
- Your precise location and the transportation available to your address.
- The Intratrade Health Certificate – we need to file for the IHC at least 3 working days before the date of shipping. In order to do this, your order needs to be confirmed (paid).
- The actual duration of the transport. This can vary significantly and is beyond our power. In your offer you receive an estimate of the duration based on previous shipments. Upon shipping you receive the tracking number of your shipment.
What if the Queens reach us dead or damaged?
We always work our best to keep the bees in perfect shape and conditions throughout the time the bees are in our hands. This is why we choose to work partners who offer the best possible conditions for the bees. In international trade, our partners often collaborate with other delivery companies and postal services to get the bees to you. What happens in their domain is unfortunately not in our power, which is why we are not in a position to provide any warranty once the Queens leave us, unless the bees travel by direct transfer from us to you.
How long can the Queens survive in the transport cages?
It is best to keep the bees in transit in the shortest time possible, ideally up to a week. We have seen Queens survive for as long as 25 days in transit on one occasion. The ones we are referring to have been introduced to our own collonies and have been accepted by the bees just as well. There have been no differences in the colony’s development later on. We always try to advise the best option for shipping your Queens based on your location. Do not worry too much if your shipment is a day late.
What’s the postage cost?
- QUEEN BEES: If you need a small quantity of Queens delivered to a country within the EU, the postage ranges from ~10 to 20 EUR. Some countries have slower national postage systems, so we post the Queens via EMS (Express Mail Service), which is somewhat more effective in some countries and ranges from ~40 to 50 EUR.
- BEE PACKAGES AND NUCS: Package bees and nucs can not be carried across by post. For this purpose, we organize a custom direct land transfer from us to your address in 48-72 hours, starting at ~150 EUR. For a precise quote on any shipping, please contact us here.
